Motorcycle travel Thailand & Laos adventure ride cultural experience

We will pick you up at the Chiang Mai airport and take you to our tour hotel in the heart of the city. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the city, go shopping, or simply relax by the pool. We will have dinner in one of the restaurants by the riverside. After that, we will visit the famous "night market".

After breakfast, you will take over your motorcycle for the tour. Then we are off. Today we are heading north to Chiang Khong. On our route, there are hot springs where you can actually cook eggs. Just before Chiang Rai, we will visit a sight, the White Temple, built by a famous Thai artist. Upon arriving in Chiang Khong, we will check into a hotel right on the Mekong River, where we can take a look across the river at the Laotian side.

From the hotel, we now go directly to the border where we will cross the Mekong River on the Friendship Bridge after completing the border formalities on the Thai side. After we receive our visas for Laos on the Laotian side (approximately 2 hours in total), we can now enter Laos. Upon arriving in Laos, we will drive through the mountains of northern Laos, past numerous villages of ethnic minorities to Luang Namtha, a small town near the Chinese border, where we will spend our first evening and night in Laos in a simple resort with good Laotian cuisine.

Today, on the second day in Laos, we have a 230 km long road that takes us through countless villages, mountains, and viewpoints through northern Laos to Nong Kiaw. After arriving at a small resort right on the banks of the Nam Ou River, we can now enjoy the sunset in a dreamlike landscape with a drink.

After a hearty breakfast, we will drive through fantastic valleys towards Luang Prabang (the old town of Luang Prabang was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995). In the early afternoon, we will reach our comfortable guesthouse, which is located right on the bank of the Nam Kan River. After dinner, there will be the opportunity to visit the night market of Luang Prabang, which offers a wide variety of handicrafts from Laos.

Today we have time to take laundry to the cleaner and go shopping. Those who feel that even half a day is enough for relaxing have the opportunity to take a tour with our tour guide to one of the most beautiful waterfalls I have ever seen. Back in Luang Prabang, there is much more to see, such as the temple complex "Wat Phousi" or one can simply relax in a café. We will enjoy the evening in one of the many restaurants by the riverside of the Mekong.

After we have rested in Luang Prabang, we drive south, where we will cross the Nam Khan River by boat after about 20 km to visit a dreamy waterfall. Through very winding mountain roads that demand our full attention, we now head to Vang Vieng, where we are rewarded in the early afternoon with a spectacular view over the mountain peaks. After another 100 km, we reach our small resort with a pool in Vang Veng.

Today we will travel along fantastic landscapes, crossing the highest pass on this tour at over 1800 meters. After we conquer the mountain, there will be lunch in a small Laotian restaurant. In the evening, we will relax in a charming guesthouse in Sayaboury.

Along very narrow and winding mountain roads, with a very exotic jungle landscape, passing several villages, we are heading back towards Thailand today. At noon, we will re-enter Thailand at the Huay Khon border crossing. In the evening, we will reach Pua, where we can enjoy the wonderful view from their resort.

Today we have another great motorcycle riding day. A very well-developed winding road (Top 10 of the most beautiful motorcycle roads in the world) through a fantastic mountain landscape with little traffic makes the heart race. In the early evening, we arrive in the city of Phayao, which is located by a beautiful lake. If you like fish, this is the place to be. Many restaurants sell fresh fish in various variations here, but of course there are also other delights of Thai cuisine.

On our motorcycle tour today, after a few kilometers, there is a beautiful waterfall where we will make a stop before heading back to Chiang Mai on winding roads. We will reach Chiang Mai in the early afternoon. There will still be time to relax in the hotel or enjoy a soothing massage. In the evening, we will wind down our eventful motorcycle tour with a shared meal.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport. Those who wish can also extend their motorcycle trip with a beach extension.
